ANDREW USHER
(1782-1855).

Born on April Fools day 1782, Andrew was the third youngest of twelve children of James Usher 1738 to 1816. He was the founder of the world famous Whisky Distilling and Blending Company of Andrew Usher and Co in 1813 and the Famous Usher Brewery of Edinburgh. He claimed that he " fully maintained the character of the April Fool" in a narrative of his life which he wrote before his death in 1855. Obviously he was more than that!
