If you are a descendent of the HOUSE OF USHER what follows will be of
interest to you. Even if you are not a descendant of the HOUSE what appears
hereafter might be of interest to you. At this point in time (29/01/2000) I
have only included an abbreviated family tree that includes only the most
notable and famous personages that our family has produced over the centuries.
I have done this because it would take a great deal of time and more Research
to include all the brothers and sisters of each generation and their subsequent
families. The number of descendants would then run into thousands! I have
extensive records of the family and what appears on this website is only a
small portion of what the website will eventually include. I intend to make it
more comprehensive from my own records and hopefully from the information I get
from the various Usher families and the connections of the Usher family from
all over the world. I envisage I shall be entering additional data to the site
as the information becomes available.
Please contact me with any information you have of your Usher antecedents
and any notable achievements of theirs, year of departure from Scotland, dates
of birth and death, place of burial and so on.
I wish you good reading and hope you find the history, skeletal so far on
the website, on the Usher family over the centuries interesting. It was a very
small family in Scotland five or six hundred years ago. It slowly grew into a
larger family that achieved mighty things for Scotland and Britain. All Ushers
should feel immensely proud of their family and so those of you connected with
our family.
